4 to 7 September 2009

The students  were orientated about CWSA service delivery model.. Exposed to twinning by attending twinning meetings ( Time Travel and Global Supplement planning)  They have been  exhausted since their arrival and in bed by 8.30 pm. Their day yesterday included a 15 minute break. In between they grabbed FICA.

Judy fetched them on her way to school. At Nobamba High School they were entertained and introduced to the staff and students. Yesterday, our Twinning meeting was held at Marburg Secondary, allowing them an opportunity  of exposure to schools in urban and peri-urban communities,  a distance of 5 kms apart.

Our approach in social work is holistic. It is important that one receives an overview of community life: values and norms, structure, culture, institutions, services in order to be effective in service provision. As a developing country, CWSA services are based on the generic model.

They were fetched by Dudu Malinga .and  will spend the week end at Nyandazulu./ Bombela community. Their focus would be to  interact with the community, experience everyday life in a most natural setting and get an idea of some social issues , progress since democracy, including challenges facing SA. Off course there must also be time for relaxation , it being a week-end. All this is part of their work experience.
Penny,Yugesh, Marlene, Dinah, Thandi ( Nobamba). Mzi and Radha,Judy,Tilana, Silvy,Pauline,Dudu,Joe,SIzwe, Prenesen are some of the members that had an opportunity to interact with them.

  2. it is our pleasure. Your daughter is like all daugthers in this world, as mothers we must protect and take care of our children like the way we would want my child to be taken care of by another. Surely , you would have done the same.
